Something different than the word search. The goal of the game is to discover the hidden word.
I thought this was another word search game but it turns out to be anagrams.Which are a different ball game all together. Yep, I recieved this game as a birthday gift.
Each level allows you less tries to solve the puzzles. You can be a Novice which you get 9 tries of guessing what the word will be.
Apprentice 8 tries, Adept 7 tries,Master 6 tries, Wordmaster 5 tries. The neat thing that I didn't know is that you also can win trophies, maybe high scores are with any other games you play now but trophies are different like your bragging rights to prove it.The little buddha shakes his head when your wrong, and he gives you the touch down sign when you win the clue.
It's all anagrams.
I wish I had spent more time reading the description on the back of the box. I bought it after reading the blurb on the front that said "Hundreds of Word Puzzles". If I had paid more attention I would have read the small print on the back where it says "Wordmaster uses your vocabulary and spelling skills to deduce hidden 6-letter words."That's right, ONLY 6-letter words. There are really only three games - "Guess the 6-letter word", "Guess the 6-letter anagram", and the "Bonus Round" fill in the blank letter of the 6-letter words. It is not a BAD game, especially if you like jumbles, but if you want to improve your vocabulary you might want to try "My Word Coach", which I have found to be a lot more fun.
WordMaster is one of the games I received. While waiting for my daughter to finish her piano lessons, I picked up her DS and sampled Brain Age 2. I enjoyed it so much that Santa put a DS and games in my stocking for Christmas this year. WordMaster tests your memory of 6 letter words, and the graphics are charming. I recommend it for those who want to add more brain exercises to their game library.
not what I expected to get. It is actully knid of hard and you really have to think to get the word. instructions are not the explict.
They don't have a lot of word games out there for the DS yet, so I bought this for myself as a stocking stuffer this past Christmas. I enjoy the game, but I play Word Jong much more than I do this game. It needs more things to do on the game.
